In line with the mandate of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa, on Technical Cooperation and Regional Integration, the Director General, Amb. Rabiu Dagari, mni, received a team of experts from the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC).  The team which was led by the Director, Amb. Ruy Carlos Pereira was in Abuja-Nigeria from 14th and 15th of September, 2023. 

 

The Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), affiliated to the Ministry of External Relations (MRE), is the agency of the Brazilian Federal Government saddled with all international technical cooperation involving Brazil and other countries or international organizations. ABC operates according to the guidelines of the Brazilian foreign policy (which are managed by MRE) and focuses on national development policies defined by the Government’s sectorial programs and plans.

 The visit to Nigeria and particularly the DTCA, was geared towards developing collaborative efforts between both agencies and also to identify priority areas for international Cooperation for Development.

 As part of the program for the two day visit, the team paid courtesy calls to the Ministry of Defence, the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) and the Federal Ministry of Health.
